Timmothy James Pitzen

Timmothy Pitzen
Timmothy James Pitzen is a young boy who went missing from his home in Aurora, Illinois on May 12, 2011. At the time of his disappearance he was 11 years old, he was 4 foot 2 inches tall, and he weighed approximately 70 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and goes by Timmy.

It is suspected that Timmy was taken by his mother (Amy Joan Marie Fry-Pitzen) a day before his father (James Pitzen) called the police about a possible abduction. The last known pictures taken of Timmy are from the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. The pictures show Timmy and his mother checking out around 1:30 pm on May 12th. Later that night there are pictures from Amy checking into the Rockford Inn in Rockford, Illinois by herself at 11:30 pm.

Amy Joan Marie Fry-Pitzen killed herself later that night or early the next morning by slashing her wrists. When she was found by hotel employees there was a note saying that, “Timmothy is ok and with people who care about him, nobody will ever find him.” Police investigators say that their forensics team found Timmy’s blood on the back seat of the car but not on the knife that was used in Amy’s suicide. It is possible the blood in the car is from an earlier nosebleed.

After going through the mother’s phone, police found out that she had driven this route twice before actually taking Timmy, leading them to believe that the abduction was planned well in advance. If you have any information about this abduction, please call the Aurora Police Department at 630-256-5000.
